This was the first time I had ever hired a contractor and I will forever hire and recommend Nico and his team. I took 3 estimates but it was the gut feeling I got when I met with Nico that made me go with Eden Development. I was so completely impressed by everything that he suggested and designed. Nico and the Eden Development team did an amazing job of our master bathroom remodel. The project included removing walls, lifting the ceiling and installing custom cabinetry and a “wet room” designed shower/tub. Nico was always available and regularly communicated with me via telephone/text/email. I always knew who was showing up the next day, when, and what they were going to be working on. If I had questions, Nico was extremely responsive. The entire team was very professional and cleaned up after the job, every day. Remodels like this can be invasive and messy, but I never felt like my home was out of order and was never uncomfortable or inconvenienced with the work being done. And the results are exactly what I imagined! Nico assisted me with tile/fixture/stone selections and always had valuable recommendations; however, if my taste dictated something else, he was not pushy and valued my opinions. Nico and his team were not only easy to work with, but also perform quality work at a fair price (and we shopped around a lot). I am a perfectionist, but I could not point out one item in the remodel that did not meet or exceed my standards. Furthermore, when the project was reviewed by the city inspectors (as a part of the permit process), every inspector made a comment that the work was some of the best they had seen. Eden Development performed a complete kitchen and laundry room remodel for us which included knocking out an exterior wall to extend our kitchen by an additional 10 sq. feet. They handled everything for us including planning, design, permits and construction/build. It was a pretty large project and Eden Development made it happen!The owner, Nico prepared a thorough timeline and budget for review and executed it accordingly. In the beginning Nico told us the project would take approximately 2-3 months to complete but it ended up taking close to 4 months. My home was built in 1945. There were a few problems along the way, such as finding out that we needed to replace the entire roof including insulation. There was water damage to the existing roof and beams in the attic and also the entire house needed to be re-wired. Almost 2 months into the construction we decided to have central air and heating installed, LED recessed lighting in the family room, build a custom computer/desk with filing cabinet drawers along with a above wall cabinet, paint the entire house inside and out, replace all gutters and trim around the entire house. We also had solar panels installed on the roof and added outside security lighting. Of course, the budget had to be increased due to the additional upgrades. Sometimes you just find things during the process that are unexpected. We are very happy with our new kitchen and laundry room. Nico and his team did excellent work. Nico worked very hard to keep the project moving and to get it done in the time frame they initially estimated for us. He was very responsive to our requests and had great recommendations and suggestions on how to stay on budget, and he also has a great eye for interior design. By and large everyone was pleasant to work with. During the demolition, a side gate was broken, the sidewalk that runs along the side of the house was cracked and outdoor bricks surrounding a planter was broken. There was discarded wood, shingles and nails left in our front yard by the roofers. When these issues were brought to Nico's attention, he had those things addressed immediately by repairing, replacing and cleaning the yard up immediately. Living in a construction zone for nearly 4 months is never pleasant, but the majority of subcontractors used by Eden Development were very professional, clean and friendly. This made the experience better than expected. Nico takes pride in what he does and it is very apparent. He did a great job of staying on top of the workers and completing the project according to our timeline. Everyone that comes to our home now absolutely loves it. My husband and I have definitely found our contractor that we would work with for any additional remodel or construction project in the future! We used Eden Development for a long variety of projects ranging from inside -- kitchen/pantry/offices/bathrooms -- to outside: a pool and jacuzzi, a small pool house and patio, landscape makeover and a move to solar energy. I can say without hesitation that they have been highly organized, polite, professional, helpful, kind -- often going out of their way to do something nice for us for no reason. All their workers were also kind, gentle, professional and take great pride in a job well done. We hired Eden to renovate our garage and add on a pool house. The job became bigger than we initially thought when the garage roof collapsed, turning the project into a complete rebuild. I interviewed 10 GC's and settled on Eden because of their easy going attitude, promptness, competitive pricing and straight forward analysis of my project. I have not been disappointed. They rewired, re-plumbed, created an open concept entertainment area, remodeled 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and updated all aspects of the home. It was like being on HGTV.
